The Eat for Years (E4Y) 10-Day Challenge, designed for people with digestive issues, will change the way you think about food
I created this challenge for my family in 2015 to urge us to pay more attention to what’s in our food, to inspire us to cook with new foods and flavors, and to encourage us to eat a wider variety of unprocessed plant foods.
The E4Y team recognizes that it's not always easy for people with digestive issues, such as IBS and IBD, to eat fruits, vegetables and other high fiber foods, so we've updated the challenge to emphasize gut friendly foods that are easier to digest and appropriate for the whole family. -- Colleen D. What is a "Healthy" Diet?
A “healthy” diet is one that is full of real, wholesome foods—mostly plants. Plants are jam-packed with essential vitamins, minerals, and powerful substances that protect us from chronic disease.
People who eat a wider variety of fruits, vegetables and other plant foods live longer and better lives. Period.
What people say about The E4Y Challenge
"I will no longer eat processed foods from grocery stores without checking the ingredients. I used to only look at calories, but now I'm looking at sugar, too."
"By the third day, I felt less bloated. I also noticed that I had more energy, enough to sustain me for long periods between meals, whereas I usually find that I am hungry a couple of hours after a meal."
"For one thing, I don't put sugar in my coffee anymore... By the end, I felt that I had really accomplished something great and had a common bond with the other 'survivors.'"
