How much water do you drink every day?
If you’re thinking “not enough” then you’re like most of my patients. Lots of people “forget to drink water”, think “water’s boring” or “don’t feel thirsty.”
However, more than half of the human body is made up of water, and we cannot survive without it.
Fortunately, one of my wonderful patients just told me about “Plant Nanny”, a super cute, useful and free smart phone app designed to encourage you to drink water.
The process is pretty simple…

Fortunately, one of my wonderful patients just told me about “Plant Nanny”, a super cute, useful and free smart phone app designed to encourage you to drink water.
The process is pretty simple…
First, you provide the app with your weight and activity level so that it can estimate your water needs in fluid ounces or milliliters.
Next, you select an adorable plant whose life depends on you drinking water. You track your water intake by tapping a cup-shaped button on the lower right hand corner of your main screen. You choose the size of your cup and how often you want to be reminded to drink water.
Your plant (and your body) will look healthy and happy when you water it and sad when you don’t. Like real plants, your adorable virtual plant will eventually die if you forget about it. These plants are so darn cute that you will feel terrible if you kill your plant.
Don’t cheat by trying to water your plant all at once because you will receive a warning that drinking too much water in a short amount of time can be dangerous.
Continue to water your plant day after day and you’ll watch it grow until it’s ready to be planted in your virtual garden. Then you’ll start over with a new plant baby.
This app is a fun way to drink more water. Try it out and let us know what you think.
