I will admit that I didn’t always enjoy drinking green juices or smoothies, but I fell in love with this recipe for a kale, banana and nut butter smoothie and I think you will to. This was my gateway smoothie to other healthy more complicated green smoothies.
This recipe is appropriate for the following diets: specific carbohydrate diet, low-fiber, vegetarian, vegan, paleo, and gluten-free.

Ingredients
1 small ripe banana
1/2 cup organic milk or unsweetened dairy alternative (e.g. coconut milk)
1 tbsp all-natural almond or peanut butter
1 large handful raw kale, center stalks removed
1 dash cinnamon
2 to 3 ice cubes
1 tbsp chia seeds (optional)
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Include chia seeds for a thicker consistency. Enjoy!
